What is familern in one sentence?

familern helps families and learning companions (teachers) share assignments quickly, enable independent practice, and make progress visible — without daily back-and-forth.

Is this help center public?

Yes. This help center is reachable without login and contains end-user focused content only.

Why is familern invite-only?

We start small on purpose to stay close to feedback and quality. If you don’t have access yet, you can request an invite via the marketing website.

Who is “Teacher”?

In the app, “Teacher” is the person who creates/assigns work — this can be a teacher, parent, or tutor.

Does my child need a dedicated device?

No. familern runs in the browser and works on tablet or laptop.

Which languages are available?

The app is multilingual. This help center is built out in German and English; Spanish and Italian are prepared.

What about data privacy?
